Question Questions about lifting a 95' 4runner

So I just ordered a 1inch BL from Roger Brown along with coil spacers and BJ spacers for the rear. I already have OME heavy duty coils in the rear and tweaked t-bars in the front. My question is, will the front be uneven with the back?

Also, I have stock shocks. Would I have to replace those to? If so, what models/ brands would u suggest?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

All Ive got to say is get a shock that compliments your flex dimensions, oh and stay away from procomp, I hate them. I liked my ranchos.

i dunno, i got procomps in the front and ranchos in the back. haven't had problems with either of them. i've had them on for about a year now. if you're gonna say stay away from a certain product and even go as far as saying that you hate them, explain why.

I am running Procomp in the front and Doetch tech in the back--I think they are all about the same when you are looking in the lower price range.

i've had procomps on all the way around for a few months and i like them. they're stiffer than stock, but its a truck, and i like the feel of them. my only concern is my rear shocks are only about 1" longer than stock and i'm worried they won't compliment my flex completely.

I have sway-aways in the front and procomp in the rear and it is a world of difference.......kind of an unfair comparison.

the sway-awyas are huge.....

It all depends on what you plan to do... Crawling you don't need ashock this big. but in comparison to my procomps....it does a much better job of dampening. It is a resevoir shockwith adividing piston to seperate the oil from the nitrogen. The other shocks discussed are emulsion shocks where the oil and gas are in the same chamber. In high speed settings this will cause the oil to foam and be less effective.

A 2.5" diameter res shock compared to a 1.5" emulsion shock is like comparing apples to oranges....I was just being dumb.

If you plan on doing quicker trails....you might consider res shocks. They provide less fade, foaming and improved cooling (due to more fluid). They don't have to be 2.5" diameter to be effective. Bilstein and edelbrock make smaller ones for stock applications.

But if you are doing crawling, the procomp/doetsch/rancho are all similar.
Bilsteins or any other nitrogen charged shock tends to be stiffer and suited btter to high speed or heavy rigs. Just something to consider.
