Yes, that would be perfectly okay. A lot of people don't install the diff. drop until later anyway, and definitely not before they already have a lift installed. That said, I'm not sure but I would've thought that 2.5" wouldn't require a diff. drop.

I agree with rocky, I don't think you need the diff drop for 2.5", but if you are going to do any off-ropading in it I would suggest you do, cause that puts to much stress on your cv's. For now it won't hurt it just driving on road...

The diff drop kit shipped Monday as your Paypal transaction status indicates.Shipping selected was Priority Mail and that is 2-3 days typical delivery time. Since the parts went out late in the day on Monday, may show up Thu or Fri.
And it is no problem installing the lift one day and the diff drop some time later. It is not like your front end will explode the first time you drive after the lift is installed. And there is really no time savings doing both installs together or at different times.

Looks like the 3-day delivery time was about right. I just got a box shipped Priority mail today and it too took 3 days from SoCal. Sometimes they take a day or two, but then other times it is 3 days or so.

I think USPS is weird... Last time I was waiting on a package that shipped literally 4 miles away from me and it took USPS 7 business days to get to me... |

Car looks stupid right now... Haven't gotten an alignment or install the diff drop yet... If I get an alignment first and then do the diff drop, would I need to realign? I went to the Firestone today since I got the lifetime alignment but they were packed... I'll try to take another trip there this weekend. I'll snap some pics tomorrow. |

here is a pic of it!
Still need an alignment and some larger tires... I am debating whether or not to go with 16x10 with 305/70/16's or not... Last edited by grimpy; 09-30-2005 at 10:30 PM. |

I recently got a 2.5" lift as well (OME) and added 285 M/T's...They're plenty big for the intermediate wheeling I do, but if i wanted any size larger (like 305's) I would more than likely need a body lift and probly offset wheels because right now, at full turn my 285's rub the frame a little...with 305's it would be even worse.
good luck!
