high output alternator for 1st gen 22re?

i saw a thread write up on a easy way to get a high output alternator for my 22re... i have one now but it appears to have some issues so i dont want to have a new one custom built unless i have to..... just wondering what other options are out there.?

Try Mean Green Alternators. Premium Power Welders might also be able to supply you with the alternator without purchasing the welding kit.

Didn't I read a thread about the highlander alternators being swappable??? IIRC they come in 100amp and 130amp versions and swapped straight in. I could be way off though.

Also, from other threads I have read. The v6 toyota highlander (camry on crack) has a 135amp alternator that is a direct bolt in.

Call a salvadge yard, should be able to find one for sub $100.

It has been said, but it is a direct bolt-in for a 3rd gen 4Runner.
