Any body lift. 4crawler might have other option too.

Ihave to be honest, Why? 2wd why dump money into something that when done you still can't get very far offroad?

because out here in southern California we have lots of desert, and can have as much fun as the 4x4 guys in the dirt. plus we get better mileage too.

to the O.P. downey might be your only option for bolt on stuff. the 2wd pickup stuff is getting harder to find everyday for my generation, and your gen is a lot less popular to build. it has been done but if you want anything major it will probably have to be custom.

3" Body lift

I just tried to look for a lift kit for your 79, but it's damn near impossible. You're probably going to have to go Downey, which really isn't all that bad of a choice.
