im thinking of doing it for in the mornings and for long trips but insted of using that one i am going to go with a t-handle type

hmmmm... i might do this to my truck, already know how to mount it... my truck is very simple actually, might jsut route it where the cable passes through the firewall for the guage cluster.... thats actually really close to where the real throttle cable comes out of the firewall and into the engien compartment

dont have any pics, but on ly old 4runner I used an old throttle cable from an airplane (worked at an airport and we had several lying around) and it did the trick nicly. It's great because it was stiff so you could easily hold a certain RPM.
I think you can find them at the shops near an airport (if it's a small one) or online. I remember running accross one at the Cherokee store (when picking up a new prop for the plane) and it was something like $5 dollars or less. |
