CV axle probs

Anyone having CV boots rubbing holes into themselves?

The Boots really should not be rubbing on anything !!

No year/make/model/mod info? Is 94 a truck age or your age or something else? Taco, 4Runner or something else? Also, welcome to yotatech!

Yes. Somewhat common on lifted 3rd gen 4Runners. Sharper cv angles cause the larger boot ribs to touch and wear first grooves, then holes. In the case of a 3rd gen 'runner search 'boot stretch' and 'manual hubs', 'dif drop'. I've also seen the use of one large o-ring per side to separate the two larger ribs.

My friend used to spray his outter boots with silcone dont know if it helped
