2wd ball joint spacers

hey im thinking about getting some bj spacers, maybe making them, and was wondering if anyone has had issues with them? i heard that they crack the upper control arm but havent seen this happen. so let me know what you know about them. thanks

oh and by the way im getting obsessed 3" lift spindles also but need a little more lift

I have heard of one hard core off-road truck that had this issue. But it is really not related to running the spacers, they are prone to cracking in stock form since the ball joint (or the spacer+ball joint) hangs of the end of the arm. You can add the upper arm brace to prevent this from happening:

but without the brace and some light off road use will it crack the uca?

Generally not, it is usually related to high speed pre-running, jumping or heavy rock crawling type of use.

Might contact Frank @ SDORI (elripster) and ask if he knows.

But if they use the stock upper control arm and ball joint, then they should fit.

Well if those just have lowered spindles and the rest of the steering knuckle is set up the same as stock, then it should be fine. That is if you can crank up the torsion bars all the way and still align things and steering is OK, then doing the same via the spacers is no different than cranking up the torsion bars.
