1990 4runner upper control arm links

i have a 4" lifted 4runner coil springs in rear. i need to make adjustable upper links. The lift kit gave me relocation brackets to raise the upper links. should i not use the brackets? how long should the tubing be before the end links are in

Huh? Raising the axle end of the uppers is going to change the way the suspension works pretty dramatically. Got any pics of these brackets? How much does it raise them?

Why do you think you need to make adjustable links? (ie - what is wrong) Admittedly, the uppers are a weak point in the stock design IMHO.

i need to tilt the axle back a little because of driveline vibration

your coils/coil-buckets wont be happy, and you may bind your shocks in more ways than one. You may also bind the Panhard. Basically...bad idea.

My guess is that you actually need to rotate it DOWN (ie - need longer uppers). The flanges at the tcase and pinion ends need to be EXACTLY parallel so that the vibes induced by the ujoint on one end are cancelled by the one on the other end.

The other option is to go to a double cardan driveshaft and point the diff directly towards the tcase output, but as 4rnr said, this will cause problems.

Shorter uppers will rotate the axle "down".
