Thinking about a supercharger and lowering the suspension a little. Other than that, it's bone stock.

one of the latest config - helpin' the neighbor move a travel trailer off their leachfield. Can't wait for the trails to dry up; been a long winter.

Whoa. Snorkle.
I might put a snorkle on the truck. Wouldn't be so high, would be bigger diameter, and would go straight into the airbox. RAM AIR...

I added the snorkel for protection over performance. I've run the snout forward and not seen any notable gain from the ram - which may indeed have to do with the distance and diameter of the run. By the same token, I've seen noticeable performance gains in my blood pressure when the hood goes under. Sometimes it's all about the submarine impersonation

Yeah, I'd use something that is a little wider, and shorter. I'd put a little gutter in it, so water doesn't get into the airbox.

Hello Fellow T-100 owners, here's another (proud) owner! Got a 1998 X-Cab ,2WD, 5-speed with... drum- roll please, 36400 miles- yes, 36400 original miles. Don’t drive it much, as I am too worried that I’m wearing it down LOL! Actually, I spend more time keeping it clean and surfing the web trying to find some mod, which always gives me second thoughts, so nothing gets done from what it already has. The truck has TRD headers, a custom dual (glasspack) exhaust that really sounds great, and the elbow removal mod (plus some other minor things, tint, stereo/speaker upgrade, etc). Headers were worth the work of putting them in, just took some time, I wanted to make sure everything was right- no point in doing it twice if it's done right the first time
I don't know if they are worth the price that TRD charges for them, but I got mine off of E-Bay over a year or so ago for a little over 300. I see now that JBA makes headers also, but there not cheap either (neighborhood of $550). Stopped by this site (which is great), which has ton of interesting forums and useful information and thought it would be worthwhile. Pics to come.

Where are all the T100s? Recently, I was in the market for an early model T100 and there aren't any for sale out there (4wd). Settled on a trade with my bro- 1994 Hilux 4wd for a 1994 Runner. I like it all the same but those T100's are gems. Congrats to all the owners out there!

i have a '98 2wd auto. i have 4:56 with a lock-right, k&n filter, 31" maxxis AT, 2 amps, alpine cd, 12" sub, and a flowmaster. also have factory alloys.
future upgrades include....2" wheel spacers, sway-a-way torsions, 1.5" balljoint spacer (currently in production process), fiberglass front and rear, and eventually some 33" tires. i will update and post pics after spacers are finished and installed. if you would like spacers for your 2wd t100, or 86-95 pickups, let me know. prices will be just over $100 but hopefully under $150. |

Here is my 95 2wd T100. The only thing stock is the cab, about 3' of frame under the cab and the engine and tranny are stock except for a supercharger, UMP air filter, magnaflow muffler and the URD kit for the supercharger.
Its running now but I need to figure out how to tune with the FTC in the URD kit. I also have a completely stock 97 4wd T100 that has been pinging for months. We can't figure out why. Doesn't matter what gas I run, we changed the plugs, wires, air filter, TPS, I ran cleaners through the gas. Anyone have any ideas???? |

This is what I'm up against too. Would it be the valves or the exhaust? The noise is louder when the engine is cold and under acceleration. I'll post this under another thread too. Thanks in advance guys!

Old Reliable
I bought a 1993 T100 1 ton auto and have been running it as a service vehicle for 12 years now! 3.0L is abit sluggish
but I got used to it. 175,000 Miles Head gaskets at 60,000 and 170,000 Right rear axle bearing. Brakes every 20,000 rotors every 40,000 A few front end bushings. Tranny is starting to show it's age NO,I mean NO other issues. I have a 2005 Tundra 2wd sr5 V8 arriving next week to replace it and I'm scared man, I hope it will be as reliable.I will be putting a service body on it as well. |

Owner of 1996 T100 Excab 4x4 with 165,00 miles. Runs like a top. Just bought it and starting to tweak it. Only thing I have so far is a new Alpine Stereo with XM radio built in. LOVE IT. Yes they are the best Toyota trucks. The 3.4 engine is light years ahead of the old 3.0. Tundras and Tacomas have rack and pinion steering. What were they thinking? We have the best of both worlds.
