Replacing a cab on a 2005 tundra
Hi everyone amazing forum you have here! Ill be sure to search through everything but I had a question.
How would I go about replacing a cab on a 2005 tundra? Are there any write ups on this type of thing? I had an accident and it looks like the cab might need to be replaced.
Any help in the right direction would be appreciated

IDK but one would assume it's pretty much like any truck cab... remove the interior and disconnect/remove all the electrical/engine stuff. then unbolt the body underneath from the frame I expect it would be between 6 and 10 Bolts. then you just need to lift it off.
Installing the new one is the reverse process, be aware lining up the body and shimming as needed to ensure a 3D-Square attachment can be a PITA.
I'd almost take a project like this to a good professional bodyshop... your ins. may insist on it.
Check the FSMs linked here in our General Tech section you can probably find a much better how to there.
Hope this helped and welcome to the family btw

The only place i can think of would be a wrecker. If they don't have one they should be able to check a big nationwide database of wreckers and find one for you.
IK you can get panels and what not from both the dealer and aftermarket suppliers if it's just a matter of dents. I f it's structural that may be another matter.

Well if you're in W. NY you might try www.StandardAutoWreckers.com They are based here in Can. but also have an operation in the Buffalo area. They will respond to web requests/phone calls and can search almost all yards everywhere through their system.
