Putting new pads on used rotors

My 2010 Tundra front rotors look pretty good, so why do I need to have them turned or replaced when replacing the pads?

You don't.

The world will not end if you install new pads on used rotors.

Trust me.

I have never turned or replaced a rotor unless it was warped or very, very, seriously scored.
