Question leaky topper and tail gate???

I got a two part question. First off I have an ARE topper that leaks between the front bad cap and the topper. Is it because of the plastic bed liner over the front rail. I have tried two different cap foam seals. Nothing seems to work. Is there anything else that I could do? The second leaky area is between the bed and tailgate. Anything to put there? I have no clue what to do any more.

I used the D shaped type of foam similiar to what is on this site with success after adding 2 more clamps on each side. I did not have a leak at the front.

Would a door or tail gate seal solve the rear tailgate issue?
