Diff. Oil for LSD Thundra rear ends?

The first time I bought the LSD additive from Toyota for $6+ and found it for under $4 at the Pep Boys, and at the same time I used a LSD oil from Castrol that says it is for LSD rear ends. I read every label on every gear oil in the store and some said it was for topping off LSD's and others said it can be used in LSD's. Well this time I didn't put the additive in and believe that as on the Castrol label it reads twice that is is for LSD's that I don't need to use any additive.

Any of you use this stuff or anything else so long as it says it is LSD safe?

LSD is Limited Slip Differential, not Lysergic Acid Diethylamide for the wise guys out there or children of the 60's.

I change my fluid with Redline in the rear, already has friction modifers added in the fluid.

The front and tranfer case, I used Amsoil in my last change.

Look out for Mobile 1 Synth.

I've heard many people having problems with using the Mobile 1 LS gear oil in limited slip differentials--Causing chattering/shudder. It seems that most have been able to correct the problem by just switching to conventional gear oil and adding in a tube of friction modifier.

It has been a while but I think I'm going to change the LSD fluid again as my truck now has 112,000 miles and it is time.

I may get some cheap 75w-90 and a 7oz tube of TransX and see how it does.
