2002 Tundra oxygen sensor problem

Okay, my 2002 sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) took a dump at 37,000 miles...so no warranty. I purchased a replacement from the dealer for $150 or so. About 5K later, the bank2 sensor 2 took a crap.

My Tundra is a V8, there are FOUR sensors...WTF with these sensors? Do they go that easily????

Autozone has a generic one for $60..I'm thinking of getitng that instead. There are three wires on the generic one which is different color than the stock ones. Anyone knows how to hook these up??? Which wire go where (if I cut off the stock harness to be attached to the generic brand...Thanks.

My Tundra lost 2 sensors while still in warranty, so I didn't get to see them replace them. Now at 87,000, it just lost another. My question is, where are they located on the engine? I prefer to do this one myself but don't have a manual to look it up.

The dealer told me my o2 sensor was out, engine light is on, I did not know there were 4 , How do I know which one is out ? I want to do the work myself. Also I have not done the timing belt and have 109 k on the rig . Is that hard to do ?

Old issue, I know, but Toyota turned down my request for warranty work even though my Tundra is well below the mileage limit and just 3 weeks over the time limit. I thought this would be a good opportunity for them to step up and say "close enopugh', but apparently they don't work that way. My business is based on going a little farther for my customer. Would have been an easy hit for them in this instance, but it didn't happen. Guess I'll be in the garage today installing an O2 sensor. Oh, well.
