Tire Fitment FJ40

My 40 has been sprung over. It sits on 35's now. I need to know how much lift it would take to run 37's I think it can be done with a 4 inch lift. On that note there aren't many kit's avalible for the 69 FJ40's. Also does any one know what size gears should be ran, it has 4.10 and runs fine but my 85 has 5.29's and crawls every were. What do you think?

You're SOA? Piece of cake. Gearing should be pretty good, 488's are pretty nice with the 420 though. I really think you will be fine with a SOA for the 37's. How much clearance do you have to the fenders with full stuff? You only need an inch to up to 37's.
