Lookey what I found

I have to call bout a price tomorrow. I know nothing about it yet (just that I want it).

So What is it worth and can anyone tell me more what it is. I think it is an FJ40 not sure. I'm hoping they don't know what it is worth.

Sorry bout the "Hello" thingy, all I had was my daughters camera at the time.

I got more pics but yall get the idea
The rust is very minimum, very solid. I have seen a few around in a lot worse shape than this.

It would be an FJ-40 for sure. Snoop around and see if you can find more info about it, ie build info, date of production, etc etc.

Looks 78ish... My gut feeling says it looks like it has been painted at some point. Hub caps are cool, Mine came with 3. Ditch that add on rear bumper if you get it.

Update $8500.00. Not gonna happen right now (sigh) . It is a 79 with a straight six and it is running. I was hoping it would have been a little less. I was already thinking of getting rid of one of my 4runners but oh well maybe next time.

Holy smokes batman!!! There was a pretty well built FJ40 around town a year or two ago that was going for $8500 and it was in far better condition than that one!

While were on the topic of price's, I once saw this FJ40 at the lemon lot on Camp pendleton, fully restored for 12k 3 months later I found it on some classic cali car showroom for literally double.

Wow 8500 for a repainted non-restored FJ. That is just silly.

If it was MINT unrestored, maybe. But with rust, and paint problems, and the list goes on? No way.

You guys ever check out ICON's Landcruisers. How about we all pitch in for one and share it one weekend a year. If 80 of us pitched in about $2000.00 each, we could do it and have a GM powered cruiser.

I wouldn't pitch in even $20 to have a GM powered anything. Unless its Cummins or Toyota powered, I'll pass.

Yea I cringed @ 8500. I was thinking 2500 to 3500. I'm gonna pass as well. Maybe let it set there a while and see if he will take less.

Ya, why the hell would they put D44 crap in a cruiser, why not some sexy diamond housings stuffed with chromo junk and a decent diesel. I think they offer an international something or other but they could at lease try for toyota stuff.

It will most likely sit for a while especially in todays economic situation... just wait a bit. Typical cruiser owner is very cheap and thinks his junk is worth a ton of money cause thats what he's put into it and its a "classic". When that cruiser owner wants to buy something for it though, he doesn't want to pay anthing for it or wants to build it himself cheaply and spends more time and money trying to do it cheap than it would have cost to buy the item in the first place. I am past denial and have begun to accept myself the way I am, a typical cruiser owner...
