Locking diff showed up mid 90's as an option on the FZJ80

All 80 series have a center locking differential (91-92 have a switch, 93+ are automatic when put in 4lo, no switch), the FZJ80 from 93-97 had a front/rear electric locker as an OEM option. The front/rear locker switch is a rotary dial to the left of the steering wheel, on the dash.

I have a 1997 Land Cruiser with a locking differential. I'm willing to sell it (it's white).

Electric Locking Differential years...

Hi,

I know that 94-97 have the rotating switch to the left of
the steering wheel to lock the rear or front and rear.

Does anyone know what years have the electric front and rear locking differentials for any of the newer years, or did
the electric locking diffs only have a switch for those years?

If the newer models do not have switches for front and rear lockers, are they still just as capable off road?

I know enough to know that lockers vs non-lockers is no comparison....lockers all the way baby.

after 97, landcruisers went to the 100 series which saw some powertrain improvements, but lost the solid front axle... personally i'd stick to the 93-97 rigs.

IIRC 98 and 99's 100 series rigs had an electronic locking rear as an option.
