Fj40 gas milage

I really want one but What is the avg gas milage in town with a stock motor??? and would you get better if it had a 350 in it??

When I had the stock motor/trans, I got about 13 in town. I got about the same with the V-8 and auto (but TONS more power). Those that have done the 4.3 swap get better mileage.

cause i found one with a 350 that runs good and pretty much no rust. for $800

that sounds like a good deal! post up some pics if ya can. i've had afew buddys with fjs over the years and really the 350 is about the same in the fuel econmy dept. more power means you dont have to work it as hard as the 2f.
