My hobby (PIC HEAVY)

Well, I been posting alot here lately and figured id share a little bit about myself, this is one of my hobbies that I have. These rigs I have built, welded, soldered and painted myself. They are all remote controled and totally custom.

[IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/fearanoia/im[IMG]

All of the rc's above have front and rear lockers, custom gears and gear reduction units, bead locks, custom electronics, DIg units, custom geared transmissions, custom motors.

The lower the gearing with these, the longer you can run them. My newest finished one is the blue one, I have almost 1100.00 buck in it and im not done yet. I have more pic of trail abuse if you guys are interested.

The standard batter we use in these will last about 10 - 15 minutes in racing RC, in these crawlers my batteries normally last about 1.5 - 2 hours.

the tires on the blue one look like mini boggers, that would be freakin cool.

awhile back i had a team losi jr-xt. i thought everyone switched away from batts to whatever the gas mix is. guess not?

Now that's definitely taking rc'ing to the next level. Nice work .

I prefer the life size models.

Still nice...but I don't need any more expensive hobbies!

These are just my crawlers, I have:

3 boats: 2 battery 1 nitro,
2 helis: 1 bat, 1 nitro
4 trucks: All nitro
1 airplane: battery

and about 20 different old controllers, now I have new controller that controls them all, i just have to changed the profile I load up before I start driving them.

My favorite nitro one is my Traxxas, It was my first and the one i got started learning and building on. It now had dual motors on it and is capable of 92 miles per hour with the 3sp tranny in it. about 78 with the 2spd.

The tires one the green are actually bogger knock offs, but they are crappy on the rocks, great in dirt and mud. The big picture of the imex tire are some of my favorites ones, i can crawl straight up a chainlink fence with it, it's hella fun to do this on the neighbors fence and irritate his dogs.

The blue one is my current build and is all 2.2 class comp legal, i have won 2 competitions with it so far and earned a sponsership from a tire company called panter. They gave me the tires that are on it now.

I'll have to upload a short move of my mini cam equipped heli flying at 3500 ft and recording loops and flying upside down while recording the scenery from that high up. I keep tellign my buds that im going to take it to the local university and snoop around the ladies dorm windows with it.

Oh yeah, they are not super expensive to get into, the green one up top is a bone stock crawler, you can buy it in a RTR (Ready to Run) package for about 400 bucks. I promise, you will not be disappointed.

And if you really want to have some fun, waterproof it and take it to a local park and drive it underwater and chase some ducks.

My boy and i race in the SLASH class at our local track!!!
RC can be alot of fun. it makes me want to build a 2wd!!!
The slash is pretty bullet proof also. my 7 year old is learning alot about suspension dynamics and tuning on a smaller scale (something he can relate with!). I like your toys, but my cash always ends up going the way of my 4runner!!!!!!

i have a hpi savage with way to much money spent on it, its sitting now with some problems. i think to run rc all the time takes more wenching time than my real truck. racing is a blast though. nice crawlers. i might pick up a ready to run one some day looks like fun to play with in a small area. like in the house chaseing my little dog
