Been a bit under the weather with a head cold so powder coating and blasting are not good things to be doing right now. I hope to finish the orders open this weekend.

FJ40 hubs that a MUD member sent to me.

These were painted with something. My best guess is perhaps caliper paint. Whatever it was it didn't work very well so they were sent to me to make them look new again.

Like I got them. See all the buildup.


It was going to be a messy night so I got prepared


Mixed me up a WabFab cocktail


Dropped in the faces and dials and the dials came out like this


Cleaned them a little with a pick


Then after using the pick used the blast cabinet


The faces are still a mess and I will tackle those this weekend.

Stay tuned for the transformation.

Refurbishing lots of Aisin hubs today.



IFS Aisin Manual Hubs - cleaned up but need blasting, polishing, powder coating and reasembly


Dial piece busted off from the heat of the oven. I imagine it was already broken and the heat popped it off.


Done


Several others I'm doing that are in various stages of refurbishment.

Do any of these work for the 96+ 4Runners?

I bought a 97 a month ago and my cv boots just tore after the lift and diff drop. Granted the truck basically sat, and the boots looked way dried out. So it was fully expected.
