Largest tire size I can run?
Hey guys
I picked up a 1991 2WD Toyota reg cab pickup. Its got the 5 speed manual mated to a 22 RE 4 banger.
Right now I'm running the stock tire size (195/70R14) and I'm just wondering how big I can go without rubbing. I can scoop a set of 15 inch jeep rims real cheap (5 x 4.5 bolt pattern). I'd like to get as much clearance out of this thing as possible, I've got lots of gravel road to drive around here and it would help tons.
thanks for any help you can provide me

the 215s would probably be the way i would go but you might be able to do the 225s if you remove the plastic fender liners and pound the pinch weld flat but i dont promise anything.
your best bet is to go into a tire shop and have them throw one of each on and see if it will clear.

I purchased a 86 2wd a little while back that had 225/75-R15's on it. They did not rub at all. I only drove the truck maybe 10 miles to my house which is also a gravel road. It didn't seem to have any clearance problems. They were ford ranger wheels that came on the truck. I may be wrong but I do believe the back were 235's... I can't really remember. I bought the truck for parts lol.
