I've been wanting one of these for a while, but they weren't available from my source everytime I spoke with them....

Finally got it!

MOD CQB Mark II, Auto folder.

My impressions thus far? Superbly made, well balanced, well thought out, ZERO blade play, lightening fast, and beautiful. I highly recommend this knife, ( if you can purchase and carry and automatic knife) even over my old favorite, my Benchmade 9100 Auto SBT.

Nice looking knife. One thing that has caught on that I do not like though is the partial serrated blade on almost EVERY knife out there. I would rather my knives have a seperate serrated blade altogether or just not have one at all.

But, that's just me.

I carry the Mk II (manual) most of the time as well, either that or the Microtech Anphibian or Kestrel. The Mk II is easily one of the best knives MOD makes. I love the button framelock. The window breaker also comes in handy, mostly for breaking tape on shipping boxes. I was orignally looking at the Mk I, but that thing is frekin huge once you have it in your hand. That seatbelt cutter just adds way too much length, but the Mk II is the perfect size.

I carry this and am very pleased for a pretty cheap knife ($35 on ebay). The assisted opening feature makes it very quick and easy!!

i carry a benchmade on me at all times, and then in my truck i carry a SOG M37 Seal Pup (fixed blade, used by the navy seals).

You may want to look into the legality of that... especially if it's within reach or on a college campus

the only dangerous things i carry on campus are: pepper spray, my little benchmade knife, and some heavy books!

I actually prefer the dual-utility of the half-serrated blades... esp. for cutting zip ties and such. I haven't had to use the window striker yet, but it etches pretty well.

As for the knife being expensive, you get what you pay for...

I've seen too many cheaper folders break under heavy use, and cut off fingers and such... not a good thing in my book.

Folding knives are perfectly legal. At least in CA. I don't see why they wouldn't be in NJ either...
