Need a mechanic to help with factory e-locker replacement in Tacoma WA area
I have a 2007 Tacoma that I had up in the mountains today - and long story short - I blew the rear diff out. It came stock with the factory e-locker in 3.73 and I had AAA tow it to a local shop and they confirmed my fears. The 3rd member is completely shot - but nothing else was damaged.
Their quote was $2800, and I know I can do the work, but I need some help! I retrofitted my 1990 4Runner with an e-locker a couple of years ago, but I had a buddy to help. I've since moved and I don't know anyone in the area.
If you aren't able to help, but would be willing to answer some questions regarding removing the axles and the e-locker motor I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks everyone.
