Engine Rebuilder in New Mexico?

Those are rhetorical. Here I come with another doozy "Dumbest thing someone's ever told you about cars" thread.
O M G!!! What a load of pure unadulterated drivel!

Just wondering if any of you know if this is the Grant you speak of.
I haven't dealt with anyone in NM yet, and I'm looking for an engine to build myself.
Just would like to know if this CL add is one to avoid in case I buy an already built machine.

I guess if he is still in business he must be pleasing a few customers at least.

You'll also find lots of bad reviews from several creditable websites.

The shop moves locations and starts the rip off scams all over again. Sometimes hiding behind other shop names. BEWARE

I've bought a head off Grant before and it seems to be holding up fine so far.
I'm leery of going with him for an engine rebuild however . Can anyone recommend another shop in Albuquerque/Northern NM to rebuild a 22re?

I know of a mashine shop that does awsome work.
The Machine Shop I'm talking about is Napa Machine Shop, in Albuquerque, Brian is his name. I have been a mechanic for 40 years and really like his work. The last engine I had him do was from a 74 Land Cruiser 4.0 5 years ago and it works great still, I did the assembly work and install.
. I did a motor conversion in my 91 Toyota pickup from a 4-cylinder fuel injected to a Lexus V8 and automatic and since have 10,000 miles on the truck. I live in Pagosa Springs and I still do work on the side and very familiar with a Toyota products.

Not related to the thread but I'd love to see some photos of the truck. Specifically the engine bay.

I had my 22re rebuilt by Bryan at Empire Engines , and installed by Toyomasters in Albuquerque (they are in the same building). The rebuilders did a great job.
