So I double checked the speedo against a couple of road side radar stations. Over all it's pretty acurate. At 55 on my speedo, the roadside says 53. That's good enough for me.

No real flex pics, just some sticky deep snow wheeling.

My brother, a few coworkers and I hit the Switzerland trail here in boulder, co. We tried the trail three weeks ago, but got stopped by snow. This time, we made it to our last turn around point, and our two most capable trucks decided to give the snow a try. The result? A burned up winch control box, a grenaded power steering pump, and a damaged power steering rack.

And Cody gets stuck for the first time. Really deceiving, as the snow was between 3-4 foot deep at the rear.

Our plan was to get Cody turned to the right, so he could try to continue up the trail. We were going to snatch block to a tree up the trail and try to pull him to the right. That's when Cody lost power steering.

After we got his pump tied up, we tried winching him over to the right. The winch powered out, but the first time we hit in, it clicked then went dead. While my brother dealt with the winch, I set to digging the truck out. Eventually, they had the winch rewired so that out was in. By this point, I also had the truck almost completely dug out. Cody decided regardless of the power steering issue, he would try to push forward. We got him straight, and he pressed on. He made it about another thirty yards before he got stuck again.

So as I've said in previous posts, I do drag race the truck on occasion. Ive been going to the local track, bandimere speedway since i was 16, and for the last 5 years or so, a group of friends and I go to the opening weekend test and tune to run. This year was no different. We spent the night Friday night, then ran all day Saturday, the 12th.

Now with the supercharger and all, the truck is quick, but not by the standards of anyone down there. I was figuring I made more power with the 7th injector, but lost speed by regearing to 4.56. Apperently, I made up enough time off the line to really get going. I ran my trucks best time this year, with a 16.71@81 mph.

My brother also runs his truck. He's been playing catch up for a while, and this year, we thought he had me, but just barely missed, with a 16.74. He was good enough off the line to take down a new ecoboost F150 though.

The main reason I still go down and run is because I help a buddy with his race car and truck. In recent years, he's focused more on his race truck, which is a '95 Ram 2500 2wd with a 12 valve cummins. I don't wanna reveal too much about it, we've rebuilt the motor, he's now running compound turbos, and a welded Dana 70 with 3.55's.

The pictures speak for themselves. This wasn't his fast run of the day, but was still one of the quickest. And yes, that is my truck behind the lancer.

Man, those drag shots are awesome! A friend of mine used to drag a 98 5.9 Ram. It wasn't as quick as that one, but it jumped off the line, no doubt. Was closer to the Drag truck off of Roadkill than that one, though.

That first pic is a fantastic shot of the T100, too. Great stance, great paint, everything.

Thanks Roark! All the pictures of my T were taken by my girlfriend. We bought a nice new canon last year before our son was born. Were still learning how to work it lol. All the other pictures I took. We love it though.

And with the Ram, were trying for 11.5's this year. Any faster and we'll have to do a roll cage.

I may have missed it but where did you get your supercharger? I'm trying to buy one for my 97 but have had little luck finding any online.

Well, your probably going to hate me, but it was free. A friend from college works at another dealership. They were doing inventory, and throwing away all sorts of stuff. Apparently, about 5-6 years ago, a customer had ordered this charger and a set of headers for his 4runner. He paid for them over the phone, but then, never came to pick them up. They tried contacting him for months, but eventually, the phone number was disconnected. They were going to throw this charger away. My friend said he would take it, and called me. All I had to do was make a trip out there to pick it up.

More envy than hate haha. I've been looking for one but I don't have an extra 1-2 grand laying around

That was the main thing holding me back from it too lol. Now that I have one, I can't even begin to imagine going back to N/A. The one thing I would change though, and I recommend to you, is regearing before I supercharged it. It would have made my truck so much easier and nicer to drive.

So for the third time this year, we ran the Switzerland Trail. This time, we ran from the midway point at Sugarloaf, back east to Gold Hill. We had a couple more guys with us again. I'll point them out in the pictures.

So from left, we have Josh in his 88? 22re 4runner with bj spacers, a Northwest Trail Innovations bumper and badlands winch, his cousin Cody with a 99? Tacoma, 3.4 elocked with a Aussie locker front, my brother, 98_3RZ in his 00 3.4 s/c elocker, coil overs and OME da karts, Nate, in a bone stock 91? 3.0 4runner, Josh K. In his 89 3.4 s/c auto 4runner, and mine.

One of the many cuts through the hillside.

And here's a video of me, climbing a rock wall we found early on. I somehow spaced locking the passenger side hub, so I was in 2 low climbing up, until josh locked it at the end.

Here's Josh with the 3.4 swapped 89 coming down the rock wall. He came down before any of us went up.

Cody was the first to try going up in his Aussie front/ elocker rear tacoma.

This time of year, there's still snow on the ground at those altitudes. We ran into a stretch of about 100 yards that was mostly drifted over. Cody, with his double locked Tacoma, plowed through first. I didn't get a video of him. Here's me though. I was 5th in line. Being wider than any of the trucks up there, I still had to do a little cutting to get through. Gives a great clip of the sound of my truck.

Right after me was my little brother, 98_3RZ

The Bunce School Road/T-33A Plane Crash

So Sunday June 1, we ran Bunce School Road and the T-33A plane crash. Kind of a challenge for oat of us, being semi stock and all. No real good pictures of the trail, but plenty of the crash site, plus videos of the more difficult obstacles.

The videos from the Plane crash run.

Me up the shelf:

And back down. Down was a little sketchy. A pair of my friends jumped on the right rear corner just for extra insurance. Then my bro pushed a large rock in, providing the final bit of help I needed coming down.

Then my brother rob (98_3RZ). First video is far back of him taking the tougher line to get to the shelf. Second is going over the shelf and third is coming down.

He's locked in the rear so he makes it look easy lol

Here's Nate going up and down.

And Josh going up.

Got a new set of wheels for the truck. They are steel wheels off a '05+ Tacoma. A customer came in with them and asked if anyone wanted the takeoff's off of his Tacoma. He had lifted it and put new wheels on, but hadn't been able so sell them. I took them, and threw the junk tires away off them.

Saturday, I took them in and tried to mount them. Just for comparison, here's a pic of the truck on the old wheels. They are steel wheels off of a 2003 Tundra that I painted black a couple years ago.

So just to be sure, I mounted two and checked them on the front. Of course, with my luck, they rubbed on the upper control arms. So bad at full droop that the wheel won't turn, even with a 1/4 inch wheel spacer.

They just barely rub at ride height. I have a set of spidertrax 1 1/4wheel spacers. I put the two that I mounted and balanced on the rear, so I'll put the spacers on and see how they do.

The T100 shares the same rear differential as a non-elocked Tacoma, so I'm guessing you could use a kit made for one of them. As far as the cowl hood, I believe it's just a universal he got from jegs or summit. It's only on there to cover the hole he cut to fith the 3.4.

T100 rear end is 6" wider than a taco http://home.4x4wire.com/erik/diffs/

i think they are the same as a 1st gen tundra.

haven't found much brake info/options.

Yes, I'm very aware that the T100 is wider. What I was saying is that it uses the same 8.4 center section and axle flange dimensions as the Tacoma non elocker, which is also shared by the first generation tundra and sequoia. One thing I have always wondered, is whether or not the backing plate/axle hub from a sequoia would work to convert the rear axle over to a factory rear disc brake setup.

^ yes, this is what i'm trying to find out. any other brake swap candidates?

i talked to these guys http://tundraracing.com/0709tundrarearbrakes.htm
and they can manufacture what i need if this kit does not bolt up but it's a bit pricey.

wrong link this http://tundraracing.com/proseries.htm

this is for the taco rear http://tundraracing.com/rbck2.htm
