Upgraded my battery and cable situation. Group 27 AGM battery (185 minute reserve), and 1 gauge cable with compression lugs.







All buttoned up. I decided not to use the military terminals, since this battery has a through hole in it's posts.



I need to get some terminals for the body ground. What is pictured is only temporary. Also, not pictured, I pulled the old positive cable out of it's original loom, and reused it on the new cable.

I hadn't seen compression lugs before, very interesting. I love my military terminals but what worked out with your battery is nicer, not so big....though you have a lot of room on that battery.

The compression lugs are great. BWD BH156 are what I used. They fit 1 or 2 gauge cable. Several other sizes are available as well. I got mine at O'Reilly, naturally.

Parts are coming in. TMI rock rings, and a new matching spare to rotate in. IAS 15lb Co2 tank kit. Should keep me entertained for a bit.

One wheel welded up. Primer, paint, mount tire, then do it all again four times. Modding daily drivers is fun!

Painted the rest of the wheels, after the rock rings were welded on.



Finished mounting my tires with Counteract balancing beads.



My little helper, admiring the wheels.



Finally got a matching spare to rotate in.

Added rear bump stop spacers. Should keep the tires off the fenders when flexed...

The balance beads are working very well. Even had the Landcruiser up to 75 MPH on the freeway today, with no problems.
