At least they are in the northeast, on the Rallye 4000s.
Anyone else running the clear covers on the 4000s? I posted a few weeks ago about grime building up between the lamp and the inside of the cover. There is a gap (1/8"-1/4"), and gunk tends to build up making the lights virtually useless. I went to a superbowl party last night in the middle of no where. Tried to use the lights on the way out, but they offered less light than my highbeams did. I stopped and cleaned off the outside of the covers... didn't help. When I got to the party, I removed the covers and cleaned off the lamps. I drove home without the clear covers on - the difference was like night and day.
I'm very disappointed with these covers, especially after reading all the good people have to say about them, generally when used with the 500s. IMO, they are no different than the black and white frisbee covers that came with the lights. Sure, they protect the lights, but in the winter I can't use the lights if the covers are on. And in the winter is when I need the lamps protected the most.

Yes, there must be a much bigger gap with the 4000 series.
I have not even taken my covers off of my 500s since they were put on several years ago, and there is no dirt underneath, and we have plenty of rain here.
Sorry those are not working out for you Jackson.
The other alternative is to get that flexible 3M stuff to put over them.
I know Central 4WD by me can get the stuff in.

Nah, we don't see much snow down this way...
but we did have a bad ice/freezing rain storm last weekend. I used my Hella's quite a bit, and altough they got pretty nasty from all the road grime, I didn't have much build up between the actual lamp lens and clear cover. Sorry Jackson-
