Ok here's the deal.. I have a 2000 tacoma and it has a mild, 2.5" sus lift. I'm currently running 31" generic A/Ts that came with the truck, but I want to get some "aggressive" 32" A/T tires. I have no idea where to start, or what brands to consider. I've seen the BFG A/Ts and those look pretty cool, but i'm a college student and the funds are tight. Any suggestions for tire brands that provide the aggressiveness, and are fairly cheap? pics are also welcome!

I think ProComps are good and they often have a buy3+1free deal on their tires.

I still have a SM Tire coupon that Brad gave me- don't know if it's still good but if it is you can have it.

they do like nice, and they beat the BFG A/T in every category on tirerack's site. hmmm.. they say M/T on the site, but they list it as a 'Max Traction', not a mud terrain. splitz - How do they feel on the highway, and how are they holding up after use? any pics I can see of them on your truck?

I can all but guarantee you that they won't wear as well as a good AT. I have them on my truck, and I'm already seeing the early signs of wear (I have about 5k miles on them). My old Dueler ATs looked like new until about 9k miles.

Your right, they arn't rated as a mud terrain, but I had no problem playing in the mud with em. As far as drivablility, it all depends on how much tire pressure I'm running. I've only got a 6" wide rim, and when I run the pressure up, I'm running on less tire because it the tire bows. This means it feels a little loose on winding turns, and rides a little rougher.

I have not noticed a big problem with the wear, but a few people on this forum have. I don't know what the originial tread depth was, but I'll find out and mesure it when I get a chance. I wont be able to post any pics until next week, but I'll let you know when I do.

Yokohama Geolandars here and liking them so far as they've proven themselves in the snow,rain and off road and no complaints so far. Revos might be a tad better but everybody and their grandma has 'em now and I wanted to be a little different.

I switched from BFG MTs to Bridgestone Dueler AT Revos and have never looked back. The BFGs were great in the mud and loose dirt/sand but they absolutely sucked in the snow and rain. Living in the NW I have to have tires that work well in the snow and rain. After reading all that everyone was posting about the Revos I went and took a look at them. My first impression was they looked like a radial and not an AT but then I saw them mounted on a f-250 and asked the guy how he liked them and I was sold. Best set of tires I have owned yet. I had them up in the rocks this weekend and it rained hard all night saturday, come sunday I never slipped at all nothing but pure grip baby!

On a side note I do like the MT Look better but hey function over form!

where'd you find this tire? i went to a local shop today and they quoted me $640 for a set of 4 of these installed.
