yet another locker question.
i saw another thread that touched on this, but it was for a fj 40...didnt know if it would be different for a 93 4runner. the question is...does it matter what gear ratio you have (in my case, a 93 runner) to put in a locker...aka, does one type of locker go with percisely that type of gear ..if that makes sense. if this is true...im going to be one happy locked person.

Don't know if I'm entirerly true, but i do not believe it matters, i only say that because when you buy a locker, i don't see any thing that says you need a different one for different gears. I could be wrong, but i don't think it matters.

I didn't even consider if DOINK is geared different.
So for that account I apologize.
What I said only applies to stock 4:88s.

I went from stock 4.56's open diffs to stock 4.56's with rear True Trac to Precision 5.29's and dual ARB's, so my opinion on this is likely worth little more than the mustard on this pretzel.
It has been said that there were issues with stock 4.88's and an ARB. It was not said by me from direct, primary experience, but is a bit of data worth sharing, or so I think.
Provided you do not have stock 4.88's, which is not bloody likely, then you are good to go.
Doink, remind me again what your real name is. I want to say it is Mike, but I forget. Either way, you will really dig the PSSST sound the ARB makes. That always brings a smile to my face.
