XD9000i and a TJM-17

Is it possible to fab a TJM-17 so that it will hold a Warn XD9000-i ? I will ordering the winch bumper on friday. I already have a XD9000-i that came off of a work vehicle "brand new" and figured if I could make it work I would like to. Not to mention it would probably look good non the less. I cant seem to find any good pictures of the winch mounting bracket or the top of the bumper for that matter to make a more educated decision on whether or not it will indeed work. I dont have a problem with cutting on a new bumper, I assumed I could remove a square piece from the inside middle to allow the winch to fit the reinforce the sides of where the winch would sit. Thoughts or pictures would be awesome

Thanks Guys

Aaron

Man, I've been in situations where I would have loved to have that portable multi-mount. However, I still prefer the looks of a fixed bumper mount.

OK well multi mount is out! I want to know if anyone can give me a pic of the interior mounting area of the tjm bumper w/o the winch and a pic of the top of either the TJM-15 or TJM-17 my concept is to cut the top out to fit the bumper. Yes I know you guys are like why the hell would you cut up a perfectly good bumper? Well why not half the cool ˟˟˟˟ we have wouldnt have been possible w/o some sort of fabbing. The only way i see this not working is if the winch mount in the TJM is at some wierd angle. But regaurdless the bumper is being ordered. In the event the winch just wont fit I guess I'll have to sell it and get one that will.

Well I ended up with a T-Max 9000 outback, and just the other night I added some steel L channel to the wings and mounted to the original side bumper support brackets. If I'm not mistaken Sonoran Steel did this. Wow talk about solid you could easily stand on it.

This is true and as soon as you showed up with your bumper I was like damn thats what I was thinking. Though given the fact Im short on collaborative time I couldn't draw up what I wanted to do then precede, I needed a simple solution that would be reliable without the trial and error . I do like your bumper its very nice. I still need to come up with something like a stinger but not as drastic just to protect the lights from frontal collision. The last time I rear ended someone this was the 1st thing to hit though the lightforce are tough it cost $60 to replace the reflector. I really like your shackle tabs, where did you get those to weld on? DO you have any drawings as to how you got to where you are now?

In certain situations the winch cable can be pull under a vehicle and used to pull it straight back or at slight angles. Not saying that this is better, just cheaper. almost any situation can be resolved with a little out of the box thinking and creativity,it almost always saves a dollar.

www.spydercustoms.com had the mounts; bigger than most and stout. We designed the bumper on the stand w/o drawings. The pics I have w/o powder (just the basic blast) show the lines the best.

Thats not even on topic. Who mentioned running a winch line under the vehicle?
