Wynn's transmission flush: is it ok?
Hello,
I have a 1996 limited 4runner with 83,000 miles. I bought it with 42,000 miles on it. As soon as I bought it I did the 30K service just to be safe. Then I did the 60K service. When I had those services done, I did not know much about my truck and I let the dealer do whatever they recomended. I'm now learning that was a bad idea :pat:
Anyway, my transmission has had the Wynn (chemical) flush twice. I must confess that the transmission works quite well so, it does not seem that this chemical flush has done any harm. However, my general impression from reading the info on this board is that chemical flushes are bad. Yet, both my dealer and an independant shop, which specializes in toyotas, recomend the Wynn chemical flush. I'm confused about whether I should have the chemical flush done. What do you think?
Thanks,
Craig Wilson
