WOOT!! IPT VB installed this weekend!

Got my IPT VB installed this weekend .

If you have been on the fence on getting this done.... DO IT!

The shifts are soooooo much nicer. Just nice and crisp, no neck breakers. John was great to work with, I shipped out Tues, and he had it back to me Fri afternoon. Took me about 3 hours to take out, and about 2.5 hours to put back in. Now I can finally get this damn URD kit out of my office .

Oh ya, OUCH on the $90 to top off with Amsoil.....

Cool man! Damn I have to get this done!

What "firmness" did you go for? I'm not sure how John qualifies them, 1-5 (soft to firm) or???

Hehe, can't chirp in 2nd yet, but it sure wants to try. I think that the tires I have just may be too beefy, or get too solid of traction. I always hear people say that they can in their autos, but is seems like I'd need a LOT more power to pull that off. Maybe after I get the URD installed....

As far as firmness, I told John that I towed about 6000lbs of fj40 on occassion, and that if '1' was stock and '10' was "race all the time, snap your neck", that I'd want a 6. He said it'd be better to go a little more mild than that because that could be pretty jarring while towing a heavy load. I think he hit it dead on. If it were much more aggressive than I think it would be kind of distracting. Right now if feels just like it came from the factory this way. But DEFINITELY an improvement. I use to grit my teeth during that 1st to 2nd shift just imagining those poor little clutch discs. Not now. Ask him to do what he did on Shane Fuller's, I don't think you'd be disappointed. If you are ever over on the east side near Spokane you can take mine for a spin and see what you think.
