Wiring relay for electric fan

I installed the imperial 16" fan just as shown in Churnds instructions, the only problem is I cant seem to get the relay wired correctly.

The labels on the relay I have are:
-30
-87
-87a
-85
-86

Now what I need to find out is where the switched power, constant 12V power, ground and the two connections to the thermostat go. That should be all I need correct?

Any help is greatly apreciated!

If you put voltage at terminal 85 or 86 and ground the other of those 2 you should hear the relay clicking, if not it may be fried.

This is how I wired my Bosch 87 Relay and fan

30 = battery positive

86 = switched positive

85 = ground through thermostat (when grounded activates relay)

87 = Fan positive

hope that helps
