wiper fluid light wont go off...
Hi all...
I've a 3rd Gen Ltd 4Runner and the wiper fluid light has been on for a week or so now... I filled up today, but only with a few ounces as it was pretty full to begin with!!!
i know its not urgent but it is annoying... any thoughts on what might be causing it?

Well I didn't believe it so i went and looked in my manual, and there is a light like that, and it is to add windshield wiper fluid.
I guess mine doesn't work because I don't remember it being on when i was out.

I think only the canadian 4Runners have this light.
I also had this problem and the dealership wanted $80 for the switch plus labor. What I did to fix this is pull out the switch from the bottom of the washer fluid tank (switch looks like a plastic pole with a white donut floater around it) and wrapped a strip of styrofoam around the floater. You can attach the styrofoam with a small elastic or fishing line.

I see it's been awhile since anyone posted anything but my 98 4Runner has done the same thing recently. The light came on, I filled it up and it still won't turn off. I've tried spraying and it works fine but the light is still on. Any advice?
