Ok, before "flame on" begins. I will need tires before I lift my truck. (bj spacers and 1" body lift) can I run 33x12.5's for street use only? I would expect some rubbing on turns. But nothing to really compress the suspension My 31's have a ton of room and have not rubbed yet (8" rims 3.75 bs) can I get by for a few months until I put the lift on? any experience? or should I downsize to 32x11.5's..

31x12.50 with 15x10" rims... fit with some minor pounding...

33x12.50 on 15x8... trimmage is gotta happen

If you have locking hubs, you could crank the t-bars up temporarily until you get the spacers installed. Also pound the seam weld flat. I think the rear would fit okay. I believe as long as you dont off-road and flex the suspension out or turn real sharp, you could get by for a month. After you lift it, you will be wishing you had the 33's.

I am running 33x10.5 BFG MT's right now with no lift. I pounded the pinch seam on the front and the rear sags so I compressed it to the bumpstops and still had 1" of clearance. Have been running them for 2 weeks like this while I am assembling my parts for a chevy swap and BJ spacers in the front.

Extreme, do you have a 1st gen?? also how noisy are the mt's ?? I have to drive around a sleeping baby sometimes..

Its not really the diameter of tires that makes the rub in most cases, its the width. On my truck I could probally fit 34x10.5, its just that little extra width that will swing a wider arc when the wheels are cranked. If you pound the pinch weld, and crank the t-bars you might be able to pull it off. I know of a guy with a 89 pickup did it, but he cranked the T-bars and put shackels in the rear. It didnt rub at all either.
