will 07 Taco wheels fit on my 03 Taco

My friend just gave me a set of stock 07 Taco wheels from his Tacoma. He got custom wheels and said I could have his. I think they look better than the 03 wheels.

I was wondering if they have the same offset as my 03 stock wheels..I want to put my 285/75/16 Cooper STT's on them..Just want to make sure it will work first.

Anyone know about this..

Thanks, Andrew...

They will physically fit, but the offset is different. It will look more "pushed in" unless you get some spacers. I'd stick with your current wheels, if I were you.

easiest way to check the offset is a tape measure and a straight edge. Just Measure one of each.

Are thet like these? Seems like I have seen a few styles.

Those are the TRD Off-Road 16" wheels.

These are the 17" Sport wheels:

I like the TRD wheels much better, but hey you can't argue with free!

Would adding spacers cause any problems for him? i.e., easier to break

As long as you get a quality spacer you should be okay.
It'd be best to not run one but if you needed to I would just go with a quality brand (Marlin).

They are the TRD ones as pictured above..The thing is I am already using a spacer up front with my current wheels..I dont have any rubbing with the spacer now, so does this mean I might with the 07 TRD wheels..

Well I went down to the local tire shop and we measured the back spacing of both wheels.. The 07 TRD wheels have 1 inch less back spacing than my 03's.. So they will not fit with my current tires, hell they would probably rub with stock tires..So thats that..Thanks for all the input..

Hey, Mokai, what was the actual backspacing with the 05 wheels? I knew they had more backspacing, but didn't know by how much.

Both of the wheels pictured above are TRD wheels.
Are they 16's or 17's?

If you really want to make it work you need to find out exactly how much room you would need to make them fit.
Then call up Marlin and order you a set of their wheel spacers.

Since he was going to put on his 16" tires, I'm sure it was the TRD OR wheels he was talking about.
