Why are there not that many choices for suspension lifts on Toyota 4runner?

Is it that much more difficult?

Why don't Rancho, Pro Comp, Superlift, etc. make any lifts for the 4runner?

I know these companies make them for the Trucks, Tundras, and Tacomas, but what makes the 4runner different?

I've been wondering the same thing. All of those companies make IFS lifts for all sorts of vehicles, but none really for the 4Runner. Wouldn't it be nice to see a solid 4" or 6" lift from someone? Maybe it'll happen one day

its because they can't just slap an add-a leaf in the rear of it, at 4 or 6" our rear links need to be done. you can use the front from any tacoma kit on the front of 3rd gen 4runners. you just need something custom for the rear.

That still don't explain why they cannot make a rear coilover that will offer the same amount of lift.

Does it just come down to demands and costs?

pretty much and simplicity it would require much more work to design and manufacter 4 longer links that would relocate the rear axle as well as a kit for the panhard bar and brake lines plus new rear coils. there isn't nearly enough demand for this type of kit for a 4runner. i mean those 4" and 6" kits don't add any travel in the front and after putting one on you have to run massive tires to even get back to stock levels of ground clearance.
