Who's running 245/75/16 's?
These are about the stock 265/70/16 tire sizing. I like them, because of the better snow grip (narrower) and I can get some LTX A/T's without going 276/75's. Tires seem to be a bit cheaper, too. Plus, it won't throw my odo off (much) and the MPG will stay about the same.
Just curious to see if anyone else has run them and what they thought.

I just got a set of MT/R's off a Rubicon for free. There all right but the customer wanted new tires. I plan on buying a brand new set of MT/R's this winter because they do work great in the snow.

This size was on my runner when I purchased it last year. I think the tire size is fine, I just don't like my Cooper ATR tires. Although they are great in the snow and general road driving, I do not like the tread pattern for rocks or when roads get slick with mud. At this time, I have not decided if I will be changing tire size to 265/75 or 255/85 in perhaps a Big-O Big Foot X/T, Cooper S/T, or BFG AT. I would like to up-size to gain more ground clearance.

It's hard to find tires in a 245/75R16 tire that aren't load range E (10 ply rates). That tire size is primarily used for f-250, 2500's and up. If you find tires you like, great. You are going to lose height with the 245's...
Just some thoughts...Go into a Discount Tire / America's Tire and ask them to use their tire size calculator to tell you how much height you will lose (if important to you).

I really don't see the advantage of 265's over the 245's, so I will be getting my next tires in 245's. Thanks for all the inputs.

If you want really skinny tall tires go with 235/85/r16's , I was thinking about running that size for my spare tire, it matches exactly with my 265/70/R17's, and would provide more ground clearance in the spare tire area that the 265 I have stuck back there now.
