Who makes a good cat back exhaust for 1997 4runner?
Hi, I just got under my 4runner and the muffler is rotten. I am tired of hearing it leak. A new direct fit is over $100 so i figured I should just get a cat back system because the rest of the exhaust is rusty. The only ones I could find were borla which is expensive and jba for three something. Is the jba any good? Does anybody else make a reasonably priced exhaust? Where is the best place to buy?

2.5 works well if you want to give it a little more breathing room. i ordered my muffler from http://www.fullboarperformanceexhaust.com. not very expensive and good quality. i was working at a midas at the time so the rest of the install was cheap. they do decent work.

I had a flowmaster 40 series on my 96 and it was loud. I enjoy the sound of magnaflow myself, if your feeling crazy I would consider a hi-flow cat or losing the cat all together

I just ordered a walker sound fx muffler from rock auto. With gaskets and shipping $102. Anywhere by me it is $120 something just for the exhaust and $8 each for the gaskets. They were $1.67 each and about the same for shipping. I have heard good things about them so we will see how long it takes to get here. I got this because it is direct fit. I could weld in a muffler myslelf but this is easier and comes with all the flanges.
