While installing shocks, what else should get done

I ordered a set of shocks for the 97 runner. While I"m up in there, is there anything else I should be checking out? That could include preventative maintenance or easy upgrades. The only rub is that I haven't decided on which way to lift, or how much lift.

For example, is it worth swapping out the upper a-arms because I'll want to do that no-matter how I lift the truck (i.e. SAWs or spacers)?

Thanks for the tips.

If you plan to lift, I'd send those shocks back as they won't work well with the lift, or at all with SAW's.

I'll have my SAW's (with 2k miles) for sale VERY shortly, so let me know if you're interested.

well...obviously SAWs would presetn some rework. THe problem is that I'm at 90k on original shocks. You can hop in the car and it'll shake side to side several times before stopping.

The other rub is that I don't have a height target. I only drag the bottom about 4-6 times per year. Realistically 1" of height would get me down to dragging 1-2 times per year (and keep me from investing a whole lot more).

Well...Drop in some 1.5" Cornfed spacers, lube all of your zerk fittings, maybe pop in those A-Arms, and then sell me your oem top plates.
