Where to pick up spare CV?

So, I'm heading down to Moab next week, and want a spare CV joint in the vehicle in case I bust one. Anybody have a good source? I'm thinking about going through these guys:

http://www.partsamerica.com/PartDeta...pe=945&PTSet=C

I'll get screwed on the core charge until I break the old one...

David,
I got mine thru Napa. I think it was $85 for the CV and $90 for the core charge.
NAPA has an agreement with my work so I got a little discount.

Have you ever tried car-part.com? This is all junk yard stuff but still good for spares.
Have fun in Moab,
Richard

Probably tacoma territory. Try to find somebody who's done a SAS.

Thanks for the info guys! As far as CV-unlimited, I "think" I heard that their heavy duty cv axles aren't really that much better than a stocker, but I could be thinking of something else.

Ask DeathCougar on this board, he works at a salvage yard up there in WA, I'm sure he can get you a great deal.

See you next week

Hey Bruce,

I did contact him, but he's been slow getting back to me. I almost can't afford to wait, since there will be a point where there won't be enough time for me to get one ordered/shipped before I have to leave. Can't hurt to give him one more chance though. Thanks for reminding me!

Uhm Im all unsure what all I have but I replaced at least some of my CV when i did the manual hub conversion... i would say if you want to take it (if i have the right parts you need) with you as a spare you can bring it back to me when your done... or buy it from me if u use it.

Thanks Ducky, but I think I want a complete unit to be on the safe side. I'm not familiar enough with the swap to know what you might have.
