Where to get Roof-Mount Light Bar (besides safari rack)

i'm trying to find a roof mounted light bar fo mount my hellas on right above the windshield. i've seen a couple before, but i can't seem to find any now. the ones i had seen used a clamp mount in the door sills liek a yakima roof bar would use. anyone have any ideas. i took off the safari rack and am looking for another way to mount these besides the bumper.

i've been thinking about this too. i don't want a full basket up top, but just somewhere to mount lights. i was just figuring nothing out there really suits what i want, so i'd get something fabricated. but i'll keep an eye on this thread for anything good.

the only option that i have come up with so far is buying a square roof rack bar that mounts to the doorsills and drilling through it to mount the lights the only problem is that all of the ones i have found so far sit pretty high off hte roof, and i was hoping to find a one that sits really low. maybe you've seen something like that.

you have those dr coiilovers in your sig. my doetschtechs are in need of a rebuild now and i was thinking about buying the dr's instead. i was wondering how stiff the spring is though. is it too stiff to get any good flex in the front?

yeah they're stiff. since 4wd's hasn't worked the past month i haven't been able to wheel them yet, but they seem to flex well based on just hi lifting the runner. i'll get to trail test them next week, and you'll see em in action at pismo.

I was gonna saw the carr ones are nice looking! Whenever I've seen a post like this I try to post the carr link, but nobody ever seems to buy their bars, or knows anyone who has. (wow long sentence)

let me know how they turn out (not that I am interested in getting one, just how they look/work) if ya decide to get the carr ones!

I asked because I was hoping someone would post a picture or something. You want me to actually look it up for myself?!?!?

No wait.. I did look. I'm looking for something that will mount straight to a Thule crossbar - not something I'll need a basket for.

I used a search on that website with light and light bracket as the keywords. All of the items that came back were basket-mounting. Maybe I need better search keywords but I'm assuming they don't have what I'm looking for...
