Where did you hide your crossovers??

Hey all-
I know Corey and a few others have component speakers in the front of their 2nd gens. I am curious where you ran the wire through from the dash to the door and where the crossovers are hidden??
Thanks in advance!!

Brad, the previous owner ran the wires right through where the other wires are for the electric windows and door locks.

My crossovers are also inside the doors right behind the speakers.

I also ran my wires through the stock locations and put my crossovers with backstrapping where the stock forward firing speakers used to be.

Hi,

I put mine inside the doors against the inside of the outer skin.

I just wanted to run 1 single speaker wire from inside the cabin into the door....

I attached a straight bracket to each screwhole on the x-o which extends out like wings, then put sound deadener over the brackets and secured it again with aluminum tape.

I also put the x-o's inside of 2 inverted zip-loc bags...

Ran mine within the stock wiring run (used a bent coat hanger to fish it through kind of a pain, but worth the effort) and I did the same as Skydigger, put them in the stock forward speaker location. With nice seperates you don't need anything else there anyways.

I highly advice not putting them in the door panel it exposes them to moisture and vibration which could dramatically shorten their life span. Especially if youy do any water crossings of mudding. Which sucks especially if their $$$$pricey$$$. :pat:
