Where can I get chrome molding like this?
It's the first picture on this page:
http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...5&pagenumber=2
I want chrome molding like what's on the sides of that 'runner.
Towards the bottome of the page there is a close-up of the trd wheels, and you can see the chrome molding up close. It has TRD and some signature on it... so I don't know if TRD makes that molding, or if it's just a "TRD" sticker he put on there.
Anyone know where I can get molding like that?

Stainless Steel Rocker Panels
Those are Stainless Steel Rocker Panels and that is Noliwans ride. He is a cool guy. I e-mailed him and asked him the same question. He told me that he got them from Performance Products. They are made for the 4Runner but are not by TRD, Noliwan just added the TRD decals. He gave me the phone number for the company that makes them:
Willmore Manufacturing
1-800-527-9955
Let me know if you find a good deal on them. I am still thinking about getting them.

Well, I checked into those willmore rocker panels and they make them for 1996-1998 4runners. The guy said there is no gurantee that they will fit the 1999-2002 4runners, though. Noliwan has a 2000 4runner and he's using the willmore panels, so I'm assuming they would work.
I wonder if Noliwan had to do any trimming or other modifications to get them to fit on the 2000 4runner?
Does anyone know if there are any differences in the body style from 1996-1998 and 1999-2002? Is there any reason why they wouldn't fit?

I did have to trim about an inch off the end of the rocker panels on the front door sides... when I ordered them they were slightly long... that's because I have the large fender flares-- the panels were meant for 4Runners without fender flares-- Install was a cinch after...
here's another PIC...

My 4runner came with the factory with chrome molding and running boards rather than fender flares, but I installed the toyota flares, so I'd probably have to trim a bit.
That's cool because I'll probably wind up painting the rocker panels black if I get them anyway. My 4runner is maroon, and I have black fender flares, and I plan on getting aftermarket heavy duty front and rear bumpers and having them powder coated black, as well as sliders powder coated black, and I'm not sure the rocker panels would look good as the only silver thing on the 4runner. I think black would look cool anyway.
Do you think I'd have to sand the panels before I painted them?
Edit:
It's interesting that you didn't have to trim the panels on the rear doors. I figured with the flares those panels would be too long as well.
