yup, like Grim said, 90k miles. it should last till around 100k. and its a good idea to get the water pump replaced at the same time while you have it all taken apart. i actually went in for my leaking water pump and got a new timing belt as well.

I've always heard 90k, though I'm at 126k and am looking to do it "soon".
I've ordered the belt and water pump (thanks TOR!) and the parts should be here this week. I'll set up a time with a local buddy for his garage space and expertise and make it happen.

I've seen em break anywhere from 90k all the way to over 230k....
....change it no later than 90k or you are playing russian roulette.
It is very dangerous for it to break and lose all power on the highway!

Had mine done last week at 84,000 miles. I bought my parts online: thermostat/gasket, water pump, t-belt, and all 3 drive belts. My local mechanic did it all for $300 labor. I am very happy with the work that he did - it really seems to run a lot smother + that annoying squeaking noise is finally gone!!!!!!
Up next on my plate installation of my new long's lpd 4452 tranny cooler and magnafine inline filter. I will also have the rear transfer seal replaced (its leaking )
Good luck with the belt - it's definetly time to get' r' dun' !!!

90,000 is what the owners manual says. I did mine at 68k along with a host of other maintenance items just to be sure since I had to agree to drive this thing for 10+ years in order for the wife to agree to it
