Wheelers Black Aluminum Wheels
Does anyone have THESE WHEELS ? Can I see some pics? I really want some black wheels for my truck but since the 15" black steelies wont fit it, I was thinking about these. They aren't too expensive and look really good I think. Too bad tires for 16" rims are so much more expensive than for 15" rims

Yeah, I've been thinking of getting those black wheels sometime this summer.
This is the only thread I could find with reference to them:

I have thought about painting my stockers, I've seen some of those posts. I was just doin some research, I wouldn't even get the wheels til my bfgs wear out and then I'll replace them with a 33x12.50 probably, step up from the 10.50s which I like a lot. With a 12.50, its probably a good idea to go with a 8" rim. I might try painting my current wheels til then, can you do it with just a high quality oil paint like rustoleum? Maybe thin it a little bit to hide brush marks? Thanks

I just use rattle can paint. The key is making sure you prep'd the wheels for them first. I placed mine in a bead blaster if I still worked at the airport, but I just prepd them by cleaning them, sanding, a good primer and then lite sanding during coats. Then I plan on toping off with a clear coat here this week. I just did my rims this weekend. You probably want to tape off the tires if you still have them on there, unless your getting rid of the tires like I am. Here come the 255/85r16 MTs!!!

those do look real nice! i might just paint my current wheels until my tires wear out then get the wheelers wheels with some 285/85r16s (I think thats about a 33x12.50?)
what grit sandpaper should I use for the initial sanding? Probably something fine, 150/200? and use the same for sanding between coats but very lightly? one more...whats a good primer?

Your trucks both look unreal with those rims, too bad ya couldn't keep both. Your Runner was so sweet. Sweet enough that I put that picture as my wallpaper. Why do the rims look flat black on your Tundra? Does your 4Runner have stock suspension in that pic?
