Ok I'm new to this 5VZFE and OBDII reader, so what is the normal range of temps for you guys with a OBDII code reader or some other type of coolant temp gauge. Please state if you have a factory thermostat or not.

With the stock thermostat it usually reads 190* F

You will find that it will normally be 10* higher then the thermostat temp.

I will check mine when I drive to ABQ on Wednesday, that way you'll have a supercharged/aftermarket t-stat reference... sorry about putting it off This will also give me some in-city driving and highway driving to look at.

Gadget is pretty much right on target.....also depends what time of year we are talking about but in general about 10 F degrees above the thermostat rating is usually a good rule of thumb. I'll try and hook up my OBD for you and see what I get.

This one time in band camp .....

I was on my way to pick up my new shocks . The ambient temp was over 95 degrees and I was in boost for about a mile or two I watched my temp's go a little over 200 degrees. This observation was made using my OBD2 reader.

Stock cooling fan, Napa 170 thermostat , and 2 stage cooler plugs and no ping.
