I chose "Astetic (body/interior)" and "Other".
My 4Runner runs great, and doesn't have any problems except for some minor damage to the tailgate and rear bumper where I backed into my friend's mailbox ( damn those armored mailboxes) but other than that and a little trail damage (a dent a little smaller than a tennis ball on the rear passenger corner of the rear bumper, and a similar dent in the body above there) the truck is in absolutely great condition and still runs strong even though it's 12 years old
My Xterra also has absolutely no problems (That's where the "Other" comes in) although I would be much happier with it if I could afford a set of Bilsteins, some BFG A/Ts, and an ARB hehe I can wish can't I? I'll hopefully be getting a set of Bilsteins soon for it, and tires will follow after that (hehe I hate to say it but I've been hoping to come out and find my tires slashed, so it would give me a reason to get new tires I just can't justify spending $500-$600 right now, especially with the Baby Although I could always argue with myself (and with my Fiance) that without new tires there's possibly a safety hazard driving it in wet weather (especially like we're getting here now) but I can handle the stock tires... for now

I've racked up the miles (almost 100k) on my brand new '99. Look's like I'll be needing some brake work and new tires soon...the Runner has been rock solid and looks new.

Hmm Lets see...
1) IFS and open diffs
2) light on heater and A/C controls is out
3) slight body damage from POS Smittybuilt Sure-step nerf bars
and that infamous drop-off at Tahuya
4) 60/40 split bench seat (going away in a couple of months or so
in favor of a pair of Corbeau Baja SS seats and a Tuffy locking
center console
5) ditched air filter box in favor of open cone filter (no deep water
crossings)
6) weak factory front bumper (will be replaced this week hopefully
with a Badland Bumpers front tube winch bumper)

Wasn't sure if it was the right category - for the rear window. That POS mechanism has been the achilles heal of my 4R. The other problem area is the lock cylinders, but I have keyless entry now, so it isn't nearly as irritating as it used to be.

I put body and other.
Body, cause there is damage that I haven't done going to be fixed though. Plus there is some damage where someone had tried to pop out the rear window with a crowbar and the previous owner just sealed it with silicone. That will be fixed, soon as I find a body shop with a good price and one that I like.
Other is because I haven't gotten all the stuff I want on it. I.e. Body lift, Classic IIs with 32 bfg A/t, line-x etc. Got the money Just waiting for it to get warm enough to order it and put it on. Waiting for new paint before Line-x. Though I already started by ordering Billies .. Couldn't wait money burns a hole in my pocket

The only thing wrong with my rig is the front door panels (cloth) are a bit faded in places.
Whoopty Doo
Other than that, this old '91 rig doesn't burn a drop of oil, smoke, rattle, or have any dents in it.
It's like a new vehicle to me.
Sure, the 3.0 is a little slow, but I did not buy it to race or go fast anyway.
That's what one of these is for.
Third Toyota this is, and you can guess what my next brand will be when it's time to hang this one up.

I have a 96, and the only problem is the clutch. Of course, that is not a design problem, its a driver problem if you ask me. The previous owner must have rode it pretty bad.
By the way, its slipping.
Oh, and I do have a problem with Toyota charging $1100 to do a clutch job.
So I will place a vote in the "other" category for the dealers being a rip-off on parts and service.

thats a nice 67 chevelle Corey. Funny you posted a pic of that car because right now Im driving my fathers 66 while the Runner is down. Although it is not a convertible it is still plenty fun and plenty fast! And quite the gas hog
You know you love your truck when you are driving a sweet muscle car and wishing you were in your 4runner!

For me its astetic (sp).
I have dents of various sizes and shapes, flaking clearcoat, rust blisters, and a missing door trim pannel that died during my attempt to replace a window regulator. None of those things perform any vital functions. No big deal.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Or maybe, beauty is only skin deep. Both apply. It goes where I point it which is why I bought it so i'm happy.

There definately needs to be a "nothing"option...as we obviously drive toyota's that don't often need anything.
So, mine has nothing wrong with it.
now..maybe a "whats next" poll???

Well Im at 214,800 miles right now on my 13 year old, 2nd gen. toy.
Things currently wrong with it are mostly drivetrain:
1. Oil leaks at the main seal
2. Power Steering gear box leaks
Cosmetic:
1. Some ***************** idiot keyed EVERY panel on my truck.
2. A tiny touch of trail rash
3. A small dent in the right rear bumper from some numbnut backing into my parked yota
4. A slightly dysfunctional (doesnt go all the way down - sticks up about 3") antenna mast from a run in with a car wash....dont ask
The origional master cylinder had to be replaced a few months back as well as the evaporator cooler.
I have a link for pics of my truck down below...

I'm sick and tired of everyone dissing on my barney colored Carmel Valley Manzanita-pin-striped 4-Runner (purple w/ lots o scratches). The windows rattle too.....Other than that when I jump it the rear view mirror falls off (krazy glue fix for sure, $100 to replace it!)

fuel guage sender's float... um... doesn't... (oh well, that's what the trip meter is for )
windshield leaks (twisting it up too much on the trails I guess...)
rear axle has a bad bearing, two bad seals and leaks like a sieve (hasn't been leaking that bad lately, mabye it's low... ) Side note: AOR, where's my f'ing shock brackets?!?! Been on order over a month now. I wanna finish my new axle damnit!
stereo has been "missing" for over a year now (my fault, went to redo it's wiring and stopped halfway... D'oh!)
Not that bad considering what I put the thing through.
