What Would You Do?

just bought a 2001 4runner and the dealer included free lifetime oil changes for as long as I own the vehicle. I wanted to run synthetic in it, has only 14,000 on the clock, but the free changes saves a bunch of money. I don't like the fact that the dealer wants me to go 5,000 miles between changes. That's the recommendation.

While I'm at it, should I drop all the fluids now and change to synthetic? I plan on keeping her for a while.

14000 miles is good for the break-in. All the parts should be mated together just fine. Dump it all and go synthetic. You will be money ahead.
