what springs to get for 01 4runner road driving
We have 161k on the original rear springs and might need to replace them.
The rear is sagging and there is a good amount of rebound when going over bumps.
A few years ago i had replaced the front struts and springs with the sensatrack already assembled combo and i forget a the moment what the rear shocks are. They are probably monroes also since there was probably a rebate for purchasing all four.
The fronts are still good so i don't need to fix that, but the rear has to be done. Advanced auto has moog springs but of course there are a dozen other choices too.
I want something that is not going to be rock hard. I am also hoping that running on worn rear springs has not already worn out the shocks, but i'll cross that bridge when i replace the springs.
I need something to put the ass end back where it needs to be.
What would you recommend for my application?

I don't know if she'll commit to a written copy. I may have to beg for that.
I suspect that the shocks would be pretty worn since they may be doing more of the work since the springs are worn.

I would go with bilstein shocks for the rear and oem coil springs. However if you want a lift, i'd go for 1999-2000 tall coil springs as a minimum. for more reading if you want a lift:

I think the old springs are worn, so that is probably making it sag. Even if i have a couple hundred pounds of stuff in it, it sags even more.
I'm going to get the moog springs and kyb shocks. This should work for what i need.

Really cool what being able to edit out all the swearing with new combinations of words .
Funny how all the vehicles are rust free and look like they were never driven out of the mall parking lot.
Remember to remove any and all wires before pulling them apart this time!!!!!
